Saturday, September 5th @ 2pm at The Grove Community Church

Gary Leavelle went to be with Lord on Monday July 20th, 2026 just before 4 pm. Gary has been fighting leukemia for the last few years. While his health wavered his faith stayed solid. Gary served as an elder at The Grove Community Church from August 2023 until his passing. He lead our men's ministry and was a faithful servant of the church. Toward the end Gary, was fond of quoting Philippians 1:21. "To live is Christ; to die is gain." Gary has now discovered the great gain of being in the presence of our Savior, the place he longed to be the most. Please join in prayer for his wife Lesa during this time. For now we ask for peace and comfort for the family. As parting words on his behalf we leave the last verse of one of his favorite hymns.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven's joys, O bright Heav'ns Sun!
Heart of my heart, whatever befall,
Still be my vision, O Ruler of all.
